What this site records

1. Visit log

To see which posts actually help and improve the site, this site keeps its own visit log: pages viewed (path only, no query string), their order, visible time and scroll depth; links clicked (address and text), print/copy button use, and the fact that a subscribe or consult form was submitted (never what was typed); the referring site (without query string) and utm tags; device class, browser family, screen size, browser language and country (from Cloudflare).

A random visitor ID, created by your browser on the first visit, is kept in browser storage (hw_vid) and in this site's cookie hw_uid (up to 400 days). It is not linked to a name or contact.

Not recorded: IP address, the raw user-agent string, names, emails or form contents. No fingerprinting. Nothing is shared with ad companies.

Retention: raw rows for 6 months, after which only daily totals without visitor IDs are kept.

GPC / Do Not Track: the visit log does not currently honor these signals; browsers that send them are recorded the same way.

Removing it: clearing this site's storage and cookies drops the ID, and later visits start a new, unlinked one. There is no separate off switch yet; with JavaScript off or a content blocker, nothing is sent. To delete stored rows, email [email protected] with your hw_vid value.

2. Cloudflare

The site runs on Cloudflare (a US company): page delivery, and storage of the visit log, mail list and consult requests. Data may be stored outside Korea. Cloudflare Web Analytics also collects cookieless visit statistics. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

3. New-post mail

Your email address, sign-up time, page and language (plus a hashed IP to block repeated sign-ups). Used only for new-post notes, sent by hand from the owner's Gmail. Deleted the moment you unsubscribe.

4. Consult requests

Name, contact and your answers (plus a hashed IP against repeat submissions), stored on Cloudflare and copied to the owner's Gmail. Used only for the consult, never shared, deleted one year after it ends.

6. Explainer tool

To improve the explainer prompt, we keep your passage, your prompt if edited, and the generated result for up to 6 months. IP addresses are stored only as a one-way hash with a secret salt. This data is not published or shared. To request deletion, use the contact page.
